Welcome to A Place Like Home, where we believe in the power of community and meaningful engagement. Our mission is to provide a warm and inviting space for your loved ones to socialize, connect with peers, and participate in individualized activities. Caregivers can feel assured that their loved ones will be surrounded by caring and qualified team members.

Paula Levy
Founder & Chairman of the Board
With a genuine passion for elder care, Paula Levy has dedicated the past 30+ years of her life to making a difference in the lives of persons living with dementia, as well as assisting their family members on their arduous caregiving journey. A graduate from Pepperdine University with a BS in Leisure Science/Recreation and an emphasis in gerontology, she has worked as an Activities Therapist and a Nursing Home Administrator at Namaste Alzheimer Center in Colorado Springs. She has also developed, implemented and managed Namaste’s Adult Day Program at both the primary facility and a satellite branch.
After moving to Woodland Park in 1999, Levy volunteered as facilitator of several Alzheimer’s Association’s Caregiver Support Groups throughout the Teller and El Paso Counties. The association honored her with its Volunteer of the Year award in 2012.
Paula has earned the following three certifications from Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care: Trainer, Consultant, and Advanced Consultant - completing the extensive recertification process on an annual basis. In 2019. Paula was awarded the Joe Henjum Senior Accolades Legacy Award: Business Professional and, in 2022, was named the first recipient of the Joe Henjum Lifetime Achievement Award by the Senior Resource Council.
Paula is an almost native of Colorado Springs and the mother of three adult sons. She enjoys pizza, Colorado College Hockey, and live theater - not necessarily in that order.
