One can expect a typical day at A Place Like Home to include exercise, the news, music, a tasty lunch, nutritious snacks, laughter, smiles, and inclusion in a community founded on love, respect, humor, acceptance, and patience.
A la carte services can include bath/showers, transportation, early arrival and late departure, mobile dental care and foot care provided by a certified RN for an additional fee. View the Services page for more information.
Even though A Place Like Home is a nonprofit, there is a fee to participate in the program – $69 for a half day (less than 6 hours); $99 for a full day; some insurances and Medicaid is accepted plus respite care vouchers are available through Easter Seals of CO.
A Place Like Home’s staffing ratio far exceeds the State’s requirement of 1 staff to 8 participants – at A Place Like Home, we currently have 2 staff members + volunteers to 5 participants at any given time.
